A chevron conveyor belt has raised, V-shaped patterns (cleats) on its surface, designed to transport bulk materials like sand, coal, or gravel on steep inclines (often 18°-45°) without them sliding back, increasing capacity and efficiency by preventing spillage and rollback, unlike flat belts that can't handle such steep angles. These cleats come in various pattern designs and heights to suit different materials and incline requirements, making them crucial for industries like mining, agriculture, and recycling. 

Anti-Slip:  The cleats grip loose materials, preventing rollback on inclines.
Increased Capacity:  Allows for steeper inclines, saving space and boosting throughput.
Versatility:  Different patterns (e.g., C15, C25) handle various materials and angles.
Reduced Waste:  Less material loss means greater efficiency and less environmental impact.

The chevron belts are available with various fabric plies and correct rubber grade for durability. Heavy-duty applications may require an internal metal mesh.
Common types of surface pattern include: Open V, Closed V, Multiple V, U-shaped, Y-shaped, etc. and specialized patterns can be customized for specific applications.
